Damascus Steel Indian Dagger: Hand-Engraved White Brass, Antique Collectible

$235.00

So, I love the history of my rare antique shop "finds". Most often I get a good bunch of the history and story. Not much is known about this one though.
I happened to be in India in 1995 and found this awesome Dagger in a well-known Antique shop in Jaipur. The curator didn't know much history about it, only that it came in an Estate sale of items from the 1945-1950's.
Condition: It is obviously an old Damascus style blade with graceful Dagger curves. The Damascus style steel is created in a freeform style, not hammered into a "pattern" like many are now. The handle and scabbard are hand-engraved white brass, all in great condition. The lined scabbard fits the blade well. On the blade there is an inlaid silver Islamic style symbol that appears to be an Allah Symbol. There is some wear on engraved handle, overall all engraving is well detailed, and in good shape.
Overall measurements: 11-1/4 inches long, Blade is 6-1/2 inches long x 1 inch wide. Scabbard is 8 inches long x 1-1/4 inches wide.
